Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor's browser. They are typically used to keep track of the settings users have selected and actions they have taken on a site, to reliably measure the number of visitors to our site and the duration of each visit, to remember your user preferences and help analyse the website’s performance.

Our cookies fall into three categories:

  • A session or strictly necessary cookies are used to identify a particular visit to our website. They are required for the website to operate properly. They allow us to provide services such as improved performance for you as a visitor. If these are deactivated, a user will not be able to use these services. These cookies are only stored temporarily in the browser's memory and expire after a short time, or when you close your web browser after using our Website.  Wix uses cookies for many important reasons, such as:

    • To identify registered members (users who registered to the site).

    • To monitor and analyze the performance, operation and effectiveness of Wix's platform.

    • To ensure the platform is secure and safe to use.

  • Persistent cookies (also called “tracking cookies”) are used to monitor website performance and for highlighting areas of the website that are relevant to the user’s visit. They allow us to correct errors and discover effective linking solutions. These cookies will remain on your devices for a set period of time specified in the cookie. We use these cookies where we need to identify you over a longer period of time. For example, we would use a persistent cookie if you asked that we keep you signed in.

  • Third-party cookies are installed by third parties with the aim of collecting certain information to carry out various research into behaviour, demographics etc. Third party companies like analytics companies and ad networks use cookies to collect user information on an anonymous basis. They may use that information to build a profile of your activities on our websites that you have visited.
